About the role
We are looking for an engineer who enjoys connecting systems and understanding how businesses work. You will build and maintain integrations between ERP systems, business applications and external services, working with functional consultants and customer stakeholders from requirement clarification through production support. You will also connect AI capabilities to business workflows, such as document extraction and request classification, validating outputs, applying business rules and including required human review. You read unfamiliar API documentation, investigate discrepancies and consider the consequences of a failed or repeated transaction.
What you’ll do
- Build APIs, connectors, webhooks, scheduled processes and workflows that move information accurately
- Clarify field mappings, transaction rules, source-system ownership, validation and exceptions
- Handle API limits, duplicate requests, missing data, partial processing and recovery from failures
- Build logs, alerts and reconciliation so support can establish what happened and recover safely
- Support testing, deployment, customer validation and production troubleshooting
- Create reusable components, documented interfaces and operating instructions
What you’ll bring
- Strong programming in at least one of C#/.NET, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Practical REST API and JSON experience, and authentication such as OAuth
- Working knowledge of SQL and data transformation
- Integrations or backend services you delivered to production
- Understanding of retries, duplicate prevention, source control and deployment
Nice to have
- Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus or API Management
- Dynamics 365, Business Central or NetSuite integrations
- Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, Power Automate or n8n
- Finance, procurement or order-processing experience
